LMU has certainly been a recent destination for many international players – last year’s team for example, included players from eight different countries. Could the next international player to commit to LMU from Barranquilla, Colombia?
Deiman Reyes left his homeland of Colombia and landed at Veritas Prep a prep school located in Santa Fe Springs, which is just southeast East Los Angeles. At 6-9, and 230 lbs. with tremendous strength and athletic ability, it did not take long for college coaches to take notice of Reyes. He quickly racked up scholarship offers from schools across the US including LMU. Reyes was one of the first 2021 recruits that Coach Johnson and staff offered a scholarship to. Reyes recently transferred to basketball powerhouse, Sunrise Christian Academy for his senior year, and his stock is certainly going to continue to rise.
The LMU class of 2021 is already ranked as one of the best in the nation and adding Reyes would be huge for Lions fans. Continue to stay tuned as we track his recruitment.
